             The Ticket Treasury

While a baseball card collector has many options to store and organize their collection, there is no industry standard for a ticket stub collector.  This leaves each collector to find their own personal way of organizing.  Rescuing those of us that have been using baseball card sheets, screw downs, and various sized boxes, The Ticket Treasury was invented to help us organize and present our collections.  If you haven’t seen it on eBay yet, you can order it at www.TheTicketTreasury.com where it is priced for $29.95 plus $7.95 for S&H.

Collectors receive a very professional package that includes an embossed 1.5 inch binder, a lanyard with ticket holder, 10 full page storage sheets, and The Ticket Treasury software.  What I am most impressed by is the full page sheets that feature two top loading slots, one 8 ½ x 11 pocket and another 8 ½ x 3 inch pocket.  You receive five sheets with a horizontal small pocket and five sheets with a vertical small pocket.  This allows for storage of newspaper clippings, scorecards, etc. in the large pocket and your ticket stub in the small pocket.  The only drawback is that the large pockets are a little tighter than your average Ultra-Pro sheets, which makes inserting your print out described below a little difficult.

Highlighting the package is The Ticket Treasury storage software Version 1.0.  Tickets can be entered by individual sport as well as by concert or non-sporting event.  The software makes entering the event information (teams, score, highlights, etc.) very easy and allows you to attach a scan of the ticket and other pictures from the event.  The kicker is that you can print your ticket information and pictures from the software.  It prints in a format perfect for the sheets provided so that your ticket will be placed alongside the scores and highlights of the event.  It makes for a very professional and easy to view presentation for yourself, family, and friends.

While it is relatively inexpensive to purchase the starter kit, additional sheets can be purchased at about a dollar a piece.  This would leave me a very poor man by the time I finished cataloging all my stubs.  Overall, I think this is a very good system for the continuous organizing of our ticket stub collections and with a few tweaks it will be great.  Also, their web-site states that 5% of profits through the end of December will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
